10 Things About Me:

I’m an actress, model, writer, and former breaking news journalist.

  1. My parents, both Nigerian immigrants, fled the Biafran War in Nigeria and later met at my alma mater, the University of Cincinnati.

  2. My dad’s engineering career took us to Guangzhou, China, for five years. During this time, I fell in love with streetwear, pop music, and Hello Kitty.

  3. I never really cared about academics until I developed sports asthma. After quitting sports, I focused on my grades and received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Cincinnati.

  4. In college, I studied Terrorism and Nuclear Proliferation, graduating with high honors and receiving the highest leadership award granted to a student.

  5. I interned for NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell in Washington, DC, and helped break the news on the military’s sexual assault crisis.

  6. I was accepted into the prestigious NBC Page Program in New York City, where I worked on the Today Show, Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

  7. During my news career, I edited reports on global atrocities like the Syrian war, ISIS attacks, Boko Haram, the Paris attacks, the Boston Bombing, school shootings, mass shootings, and police brutality in America. Tired of seeing the worst of humanity, I decided to shift my career in a creative direction.

  8. I was scouted by a model scout at a party and moved into an “artist house,” where I helped my roommates write, direct, and practice scene study. This led to booking my first role ever in a short film.

  9. I have studied acting at the Oxford School of Drama in England and Anthony Meindl’s Acting Studio.

  10. My goal in acting is to simply be a badass. A badass villain, a badass girl next door, and even a bad*ss Disney character.
